The faculty
Every teacher knows every student on the floor by name. Two of them are introduced here, and the rest are at the visit mornings.
Head of school
Founded Epigraph for students who need a smaller room at grade 6. He leads the humanities block and the Tuesday and Thursday history seminar, and he is the first person a new family meets at a visit morning. He answers the school's phone on most mornings.
Science and math teacher
Teaches math and the Monday and Wednesday science projects, and runs Friday making. The planning-time routine that every student on the floor uses started in her homeroom, and she walks new families through it at the summer meeting.
The seven teachers share one floor and one list of students, so a family hears from whoever knows its child well. A note goes home every afternoon, and each family meets with a homeroom teacher once a term to talk about how it is going.
Tell the head of school at the visit what has helped your child in a classroom before. The teachers plan the first weeks around it.
