How tuition and aid work
What sets tuition, how a place is held and how to ask about aid, in plain words.
What sets tuition
Tuition is set for the school year and is the same for grades 6, 7 and 8. Study hall in the afternoon is billed separately, for the days a family uses it. The head of school goes through the figures at a visit, and the office sends the current ones after a visit morning.

Registration
An application goes in after a visit morning. It covers reading the application and starting a student's file, and it is due when a family applies. Enrollment is a separate step that follows an offer.
Holding a place
When a place is offered, a family has two weeks to answer. A signed enrollment agreement and a first payment hold the place, and that payment counts toward tuition. If every place in a grade is taken, a family can join the waitlist, and offers go out in the order families joined.
Billing
Tuition is billed monthly across the school year, and a family who would rather pay by the term can ask at the visit.
Help with tuition
Financial aid is available. Here is how to apply: after the application, a family fills in a short aid form and talks with the head of school about what the family can manage. Decisions go out with the offer. Ask us at a visit whether a state program applies to your family.
More than one child
Families with more than one child in the school can ask the office how that is handled. The office explains it in writing along with the tuition.
Withdrawing
We ask for a month's notice in writing before a student leaves. What happens to a month in progress is in the enrollment agreement.
Ask about aid at a visit
Bring your questions to a visit morning, or write to the office.
