Safety routines
Arrival and dismissal
A teacher is at the front door from 8:00 and again at 3:15. Only the adults on a family's pickup list may collect a student, and we ask to see ID until we know you.
Visitors
Every visitor signs in at the office and wears a badge. A teacher walks a visit family to the floor and back.
Drills
The school holds fire drills and weather drills through the year, and families are told afterward what the students practiced.
Allergies
Tell us about allergies at the visit; we ask privately once you enroll. The office keeps each student's plan, and a copy is kept in the homeroom.
Illness
A student with a fever stays home until the next morning. A teacher calls a parent when a student is unwell at school, and the office tells families when something is going around.
The visiting occupational therapist
Spends one morning a week at the school, and works alongside the teachers in the room. A family who would like to talk with them asks the head of school.
